This community-based winter festival is a tremendous asset to the Central Louisiana community. Alex Winter Fête allows the City of Alexandria to promote a weekend-long event and other great attractions in the community over the holiday season. The Holiday Trail of Lights was also an excellent promotion stream for Alex Winter Fête – with blog posts and media visits to discuss the festival. Alex Winter Fête offers multiple holiday-themed attractions, ice skating, multi-cultural food vendors, shopping, music, and more.
Alex Winter Fête is unique to Alexandria because it was made by and for locals and never ceases to impact the community. For the festival’s 5th year, “A Magical Winter Wonderland” was established as the new theme that would encapsulate the magic and excitement of the winter season. The visuals needed to convey a sense of mystery, wonder, and class to accomplish this refresh, pulling inspiration from Art Nouveau, regal ornamentals, and carnival elements. Every facet of the brand needed extraordinary detail, inviting guests to explore and interact.
Along with the visual identity, there were also interactive elements such as magical keys hidden throughout the festival that held riddles leading to treasure, an enchanted forest filled with magical lights and hot cocoa, and captivating street performers who left the crowds in awe. Downtown Alexandria, LA, was transformed into a magical Christmas experience, filling the streets with countless marvels and activities.
